10 kms above Dutch coast waters
Every time when you head for longer journey, there is that excitement accompanied by butterflies tickling your stomach, building up progressively while the time of the departure is approaching.
Last 48 hours went incredibly faster than usual.
Last minute decisions of all kinds were resolved mainly by following instincts : whether to take sleeping bags - ones we had are far too fat boys for our mission - let’s get smaller ones, mountaineering shoes - Tati yes, me no, smartphone - currently have none working so let’s get cheap one in Kuala Lumpur, room handover details and finally last drinks with flatmates ended happily at 3 AM this morning and we jumped to our comfy bed in Berlin...
Final night in Europe ended too fast to get enough sleep, but there is solid nap planned in 12 hours flight from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur.
For next 162 days we wish to explore diversities of cultures living across South East Asia.
Starting in Kuala Lumpur for few days, heading to Myanmar to witness and report live post election atmosphere in Yangon and other cities, towns, villages.
Take 2 days boat ride to far far west - ancient Mrauk U, and then through northern plains of Myanmar head to northern Thailand to spend Christmas and New Year.
During mid January we’d like to cross to northern Laos to stay north in the mountains until our instincts move us further west to Vietnam.
Going left around the chorten we’ll head south along Vietnamese coast until we reach Cambodia and finally Thailand again.
There are further plans of getting to Borneo, Philipines and Indonesia, however as tomorrow is a mystery and yesterday is a history there is no need to plan too much deep into future.
Our plan will for sure be affected by different shit happening and to be honest we are bloody looking forward to experience world which we don’t know yet.
